About

After attending The Savannah College of Art and Design Sarah moved to New York City to pursue her degree  in fashion. About to head out on a vacation with her family, Sarah wanted to create her own coil beach bag for the trip.  While creating this beach bag and experimenting on this new idea she ended up breaking her sewing machine and it was sent to the shop.  Which meant the bag was not finished for her trip.  Soon as she arrived back to Brooklyn she picked up her sewing machine and was back at it,  it was during this time that Brklyn Home was born. Sarah always loved decorating her home and was always eager to put stuff away.  To find a place for it.  She wanted to create a minimal yet artful way to hide her stuff.

She loves to make and create. Drawing upon the techniques she learned while working in the fashion industry. Her highly skilled craftsmanship can be seen in every Brklyn Home product.

After the lockdowns hit, Sarah and her family decided to set off on a new adventure where they have a little more breathing room in a little house on a quiet street with a private backyard in the beautiful and historic town of Stillwater, MN. She also welcomed baby number 3. She finds inspiration in all of the diversity and creativity around her and channels her ideas into Brklyn Home.
